Turrini Claudio WATER RECYCLING SYSTEMS
How do they work ?
Below we give you a lot more information on how our fully automatic, on demand, closed loop systems work and how they can save you time and most importantly money !
FIRST WE GET DIRTY
The requirements of a typical stone shop involve trenches which are fed to a collection pit.
The collection pit is either supplied by the client OR we may supply a conical stainless steel collection pit that is put in the ground. (Optionally)
DIRTY WATER COLLECTIOn
Sludge from the pit is collected on demand by a submerged pump, which sits in flat bottom of the client pit.
The submerged pump is designed to pump BOTH the solids (which settle in the pit) and the dirty water from the pit into the supplied Silo(s). There maybe two or more, depending upon the configuration.
DECANTATION
The dirty water and mud are pumped up the silo , allowing for non violent settlement.
The frequency of the intake is governed by a probe level sensor. (In this case mounted inside the clean water tank)
CHEMICAL ADDITION
As the water passes into the silo it is treated with 2 chemicals. A liquid Flocculant (which deals with most natural and aggregate solids), and a Coagulant (Which specifically deals with the finer, more buoyant particles of resin (typically polyester and nowadays some acrylic)
The chemicals optimize the settlement by promoting the “flocking” of the particles together which make them heavier and therefore settle.
These are similar to those used to treat your city water
SLUDGE EXTRACTION
The Captured Sludge collects at the bottom conical area of the Silo.
We supply Screw Type Sludge pumps which push the sludge out of the Silo from the bottom, and are connected by flexible hose to a system of bag frames.
This sludge discharge frequency is timed, and easily programmed at intervals we set at install.
MUD BAGGING
The dehydration Bag frame is also all stainless steel. It is a structure, with a detachable bag hanger, which is designed such that the filled bags can be allowed to dry (1 day) and then taken (dry) to the dumpster by forklift. The frame has a pipe fed from the sludge pump that is manually rotated between bags once one is full to the other.
See MoreSLUDGE DEHYDRATION
Because we use a specific bag, with high porosity, the sludge dries fast in the bags as the water quickly “sweats” out
See MoreCLARIFIED WATER
TWO clarified water pumps (one spare for redundancy – recommended to be rotated weekly) Supply water to the factory machines, under high pressure and totally ON DEMAND. Further controlled by Inverter to increase life and reduce running costs
See MoreWATER QUALITY
The quality of our RECYCLED – GREY water we are typically seeing, when the system is run correctly as advised, is virtually clear with limited TSS
See Moreautomatic control
The entire system is managed by a (Siemens) touch screen PLC which can be learned and taught in minutes.
The electrical panel uses strictly world leading brands of components from Siemens, ABB, Schneider Electric, ASEM, which are all readily available in the event of need.
HOW LONG IS INSTALLATION ?
Typically we take less than a day from arrival to operational.
Most of the time we can make the install without any production downtime
See other InstallationsWHAT DO WE NEED ?
Basically, trenches to a dirty water pit, electric connection and pipework to your machines.
We carry out a site visit during sale process or immediately afterwards
